MEASUREMENT GUIDELINES
Photos:
Correctly photographing your fish is critical to ensure your catch is eligible for entry into the competition.
Submitting your catch: When you catch a fish it must be posted no later than 2 days after the fish is harvested.
Competition deadline: All submissions must be posted before 11:59 pm of the last day of the competition which is 31st July 2025.

All submissions must include 3 photos all up:
-
A photo clearly showing the fish on the measuring mat, so that you can see the head and tail of the fish is in the correct position. (Ensure that you write #FMS on a piece of paper and that it is clearly shown on the measurement mat photo. This is to prove the photo was taken during this comp.)
-
Another photo that clearly shows where the tail is on the measurement line.
-
A photo of the person who caught the fish holding the fish.

Measurement Guidelines:
-
The mouth of the fish must be touching the starting plate/zero cm mark of the measuring mat.
-
Measurement is taken from the mouth of fish to the end of the tail.
-
Photos must be taken from directly above the fish.
-
All fish mouths must be resting.
-
Fish Measurement: Fish are measured to the nearest decimal (round down to avoid conflict).
-
If your fish is too big for a measuring mat or you do not have a measuring mat, you can use a tape measure. (Photos must clearly show starting and end point alongside the tape measure.)

Head Connection:
-
The head must remain completely connected to the body during measurement. If the throat is disconnected due to spearing, the head must be placed back in line with the body.
-
Do not fully neck the fish before taking the fish photos.
-
Crayfish tail and head must remain connected and not pulled apart.
